Two Keys, One Door
Plays in the dock at the bottom of the page, so it keeps going while you read on.
Lyrics
One badge stamped on before we pour the frame
Name cut deep, ain't ever gonna change
You want your colours flying on the door
Fine — that's a coat, boy, not the goddamn core
Give every customer the keys to my whole house
Watch 'em tear the wallpaper, watch the walls go loose
One skin for the trade, one layer for the guest
I built it in the frame so the frame don't bend
Two keys, one door
Build it deep, then paint it once more
You get a colour, boy, you don't get the core
Two keys, one door
No raw code flying loose up in my house
Every override's checked before it gets to shout
Bad theme falls back, the product still stands tall
One build breaks — man, that don't ship at all
Two keys, one door
Build it deep, then paint it once more
You get a colour, boy, you don't get the core
Two keys, one door
Defaults on the bottom, reseller stacked on top
Customer's a colour that we let you drop
Try and rename my baby — no, that ain't your call
We built one engine to outrun 'em all
Two keys, one door (one door!)
Build it deep, then paint it once more (once more!)
You get a colour, boy, you don't get the core (not the core!)
Two keys, one door (one door!)
One house, two keys, only one is mine
Wear your colours — that logo's your one line
The band
Highway to Prod
Two bars of unaccompanied riff, then the whole pub: open-chord crunch, the snare hard on two and four, and a high rasped howl that spends the chorus flat out at the top of its range. Half late-seventies bar-room stomp, half Sunset Strip sleaze, with a screaming lead break in the middle. Boasts about the reckless thing it did on purpose, and never once sounds sorry about it.
None of these bands are real. Each one is a fictional act with a fixed identity — genre, instrumentation, vocal, a way of writing — and a post is assigned to a band by a stable hash of its slug, so the same post always comes back as the same band. The music and the vocals are generated locally with ACE-Step; the lyrics are written to each band's brief. No musicians, no recordings, no one to credit.
Where the words came from
The lyrics were written from the post Use Build-Time Branding for Resellers and Runtime Branding for Customers.
A multi-app platform should treat reseller branding as a build input and customer branding as a controlled runtime overlay.
