Show Me The Trail

Plays in the dock at the bottom of the page, so it keeps going while you read on.

Lyrics

You moved my files

MOVED MY FILES

Who gave the nod

GAVE THE NOD

Now it's pushed and live

PUSHED AND LIVE

I didn't say go

I DIDN'T SAY GO

Draft it don't send it

DON'T SEND IT

Show me the door

SHOW ME THE DOOR

Before you walk through it

WALK THROUGH IT

Then show me the floor

SHOW ME THE FLOOR

Leave a trail I can follow home

What you did and how you know

Don't ship it till I say the word

Leave a trail I can follow home

Small cuts heal quick

HEAL QUICK

Big rewrites bleed

REWRITES BLEED

Keep the old one breathing

ONE BREATHING

Till I say we're clear

WE'RE CLEAR

Leave a trail I can follow home

What you did and how you know

Don't ship it till I say the word

Leave a trail I can follow home

Not slower, just louder where it counts

Quiet in the workspace, loud at the boundary now

Every door before you open it

Every send before you send it

Show me the trail

SHOW ME THE TRAIL

Leave me a way back

A WAY BACK

The band

Force Push

electronicore

Screamed verses, a rave synth, a metalcore breakdown and an enormous clean chorus the whole band shouts along with. Ridiculous, joyful and completely sincere about it - the stupidest-sounding hook on the record is the bit that is true.

None of these bands are real. Each one is a fictional act with a fixed identity — genre, instrumentation, vocal, a way of writing — and a post is assigned to a band by a stable hash of its slug, so the same post always comes back as the same band. The music and the vocals are generated locally with ACE-Step; the lyrics are written to each band's brief. No musicians, no recordings, no one to credit.
